Remembering our Loved Ones. Family Thought November 5

Sometimes when someone has died or divorced one gets stuck thinking about their negative qualities, while at other times after death we may focus more on their good qualities, almost making them into saints. This is not realistic but still part of the grieving process.  After listening to her mom speaking about their late father Jo and Peter decided, “It is possibly a good idea to try to get a balanced view about those who have moved out of our lives.”

We though many are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.   Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them.  Rom  12:5-16

Pope Francis: It is not the best expression of love to dwell on our loved ones and keep bringing up their name, because this is to be dependent on the past instead of continuing to love them now that they are elsewhere.   AL255
