Less is more? Family Faith Focus 11 November. “Families walk the Talk”

Nov 11, 2017

There is a back-to-front saying these days: “less is more.”  What could that possibly mean?  Charles sat down with the children when they were quite young.  “You know that my father lost everything he owned when his land was taken away from him and with that his source of income. We children had to learn to manage with very little. We were able to rebuild our fortune but I am proud to say that father never allowed us to cheat anyone. The experience we had taught us to be more generous with the poor.  I believe that small moneys used faithfully can help, especially in teaching us wisdom in our use of greater wealth in money or other things.  God who sees the heart knows where our primary love is.

He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much.     You can’t serve both God and Money. From Luke16:9-15.

Pope Francis Ethics leads to a God who calls for a committed response which is outside of the categories of the marketplace.  God calls human beings to their full realisation and to freedom from all forms of enslavement.   From EG 57
