This UN International Family Day with the theme “Families and inclusive societies” is promoted by government agencies and can be supported too in the Church, when in a spirit of UBUNTU it can show that FAMILIES DO MATTER. Parents and children can discuss this important question together and really listen to one another especially if there are members belonging to different churches. “Who is more important, a mother or father or children? You often hear it said, ‘in the best interests of the child.’ Take the example of a pregnant mother who has three children already. If there is a problem during pregnancy that puts her and the baby at risk should doctors save her life or the baby’s?” It really was a challenging discussion that is not often addressed within families.
I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may accomplish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. Acts 20: 24. Pope Francis: An attentive look at the everyday life of today’s men and women immediately shows the omnipresent need for a healthy injection of family spirit. Al183.
Prayer. By your heavenly grace, O God, restore us in mind and body, create in us a clean heart and a pure mind that we may glorify your Name. May the churches attain unity of purpose for the sanctification of your people, through Jesus Christ who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, for ever and ever. Amen.
The right hand of God is healing in our land, healing broken bodies, minds and souls; so wondrous is its touch, with love that means so much, when we’re healed by the right hand of God. Hymn
