Many families fled from the area of the DRC where ebola had broken out. As they travelled they came across other areas that had suffered floods and diseases that had affected people as a result. It seemed as if large areas of the countryside were devastated and people were suffering. Yet as the days went by communities worked together to rebuild, restore and support one another. In spite of their hardships communities gathered to pray and give thanks to God for his help.
Jesus entered Simon’s house and his mother-in-law was ill with a high fever. They asked him about her and he stood over her and rebuked the fever. All those who had any that were sick brought them to him and he laid his hands on them and healed them. Luke 4:38-44.
