A beggar’s life

Outside the church on Sunday morning there was a whole row of beggars. “Me, me, please help me, give me, just R5 madam!” “I never know what to do and always feel bad, like I don’t trust them,” Maysie thought. “What would Jesus do?”  “You know full well,” the little voice of conscience said. ”Jesus’ mission was compassion and healing, making people whole again.”                                                                                                                                                                      Jesus saw the man and knew that he had been lying there a long time.  The sick man said to Jesus, “Sir I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is troubled.” John 5:1-16.

Pope Francis:   Before all else the Gospel invites us to respond to the God of love who saves us, to see God in others and to go forth from ourselves to seek the good of others.   Under no circumstance can this invitation be obscured!  EG38.

After reflecting consider an action response and end with prayer.
