14 May a multifaith day of prayer, fasting and charitable works to end the pandemic

May 14, 2020

Together with other religions, in a spirit of fraternity, Pope Francis has requested today to be a day of prayer, fasting and charitable work for an end to this and other pandemics.

May 14. Dad shared, “When we were young we used to sing love songs believing that love and happiness belong together. But that’s not always the case.  We have found that love is not a state of permanent bliss but of recurring positive and negative experiences and decisions.  In all family relationships a true joy is able to come about after reconciliation which includes forgiveness and being forgiven and being accepted.   In the words of Pope Francis, being touched in one’s woundedness can even bring about joy.”  “Who says?” Anthony, always the cynic, asked.

These things I have told you that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be full. From John 15:9-11.

Pope Francis: We need constantly to contemplate the mystery of mercy. It is a wellspring of joy, serenity and peace. Our salvation depends on it. FM2. Let us not allow ourselves to be robbed of the joy of evangelization  EG83.. Offer a prayer to Our Lady.
