Jesus, the true vine

Paula shared, “I do like it when Jesus uses examples from nature. After all plants and animals too also grow in families, are taught by their parents and need to be connected. I wonder why we humans think we can be independent and do whatever we want and on our own.” “That does make people superior to animals.  But this time of the coronavirus has also showed us how much we need one another and God too, also on a global scale, and what a mess it can become when we try to go it alone.” George replied.

Jesus said, “I Am the vine, you are the branches.  Who abides in me, and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:1-8.  

Pope Francis:  Our relationship with the environment can never be isolated from our relationship with others and with God.  Otherwise it would be nothing more than romantic individualism dressed up in ecological garb.   LS119.   Offer a prayer to Our Lady.
