In his time he supported and challenged:

Marriage is the foundation, selfless love is the way.

Holy Father, we thank you for your generous love.

As you enjoy your eternal reward we ask that you

continue to share God’s love with us,

and pray for us in the Holy Family

so that, in your words, “we may become what we are,

the little church of the home.”

Pray that we, like you, may not be afraid,

may love and cherish all members of our families,

young and old, unborn, sick and disabled,

so that the way of our families

will be the way of the whole human family.
