COMMUNAL PRAYER FOR THE DEAD.
God, Our Father, we remember in prayer
those who have had a special place in our hearts
and in our lives and are now no longer here with us.

Holy One, Creator God,
you created one human family
but our selfishness led to division between the nations.

An 15 August we celebrate the patronal feast of South Africa. This is a wonderful opportunity to relate our faith to our everyday life situation.

A FAITH REFLECTION ACTIVITY.

They sat down slowly, stiff limbs welcoming the chance to rest at last. After standing in the seemingly endless queues since early morning the two little old ladies had already shared many of their thoughts and memories. They had seen each other before, as they had waited at the Pensions Office for their monthly pay-outs and but had never talked before.

We know how grandparents are seriously concerned about their grandchildren, young and older. This movements can help grandparents to recognise the important contribution they can still make in the lives of their families no matter how far away. There is no formal structure or procedure but it is nice to be able to share with others and form a group for mutual support. ..
