Fr Peter told a story. “While Christo had run a small company Antonette had spent much of her time working at a church-linked NGO on a semi-voluntary basis and together they had been involved in their parish as well. As they got on in years Christo’s health was not good, but he believed he needed to carry on the business so that they could retire reasonably comfortably, but they often debated whether that was the right thing to do for themselves and for God.”

    This is the Day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Ps 118:24
    How often can we, or should we acknowledge your action , Lord,
    You make each day anew, yet some are special.
    Each Sunday is your day. The Day of the Resurrection particularly yours.
    But Lord, how often in our own lives can we rejoice in the day you made?
