  WILL YOU REMEMBER ME

   

  Will you remember me…..

  When our rose bush blooms

  And the grass needs mowing

  And the gate is stuck

  And a toilet’s overflowing?

   

  Will you remember me….

  When you drive my car

  Or you lie in our bed

  And you think of things

  I “always said”?

   

  Will you remember me…

  At Christmas, anniversaries, everyone’s birthdays, family gatherings

  a meeting, workshop or weekend,

  All the special days

  And the things we did together,

  In fact, always?

   

  Will you remember me

  On holidays

  And holydays

  And just pottering at home

  Doing nothing days?

   

  Will you remember me

  When you walk in the house

  And unlock the door.

  How we kissed our hello

  And wished for some more?

   

  Will you remember me

  To those we worked with

  And those who knew.

  They travelled the road

  We travelled too?

   

  Please do remember me

  Any time you like

  In things big and small

  When you laugh or you cry

  I am there through it all.
